Prairie Essentials

Aprons, Bonnets & Undergarments

Here in our Prairie Essentials we have pantaloons, petticoats, bonnetts, and aprons. If you would like to provide your own fabric you may send it to us and we will make the item of your choice. You may deduct $8 for ladies aprons, and $5 for girls aprons. If you choose to send your own fabric for any of the pantaloons, petticoats or bonnetts you may deduct $2 from the regular price of the item.

Sun Bonnets

Practical bonnets in ladies and girls sizes. Bonnet is gathered to a large brim with an elastic ruffle at back neck and ribbon ties. Very nice for those sunny days. Order in any of our calicos, solids, or any other fabric.

Ladies bonnets (one size) are $25
Girls sizes(as follows) are $22
Baby sizes(see baby size chart #2) are $20

Small (up to 1 year), Medium(2-4 yrs.), Large (5-9 yrs.), X-Large (10-14 yrs.)

Matching Jewel's Aprons

These simple aprons may be worn over any good dress. Bodice front and back are gathered to waistband at center front and side backs, and a single button closure is at back neck. Waistband extends into ties at back so it is very adjustable. Skirt is long and full coming around to center back in true pinafore style. Matching Prairie Pinafores

A handy pinafore to put over any dress. Modestly fitted, it is made with the bodice of a jumper and a back tie belt is included in the price. Skirt is a couple inches shorter than our dresses and comes around to the back in true pinafore style. Bodice buttons at back. This is not suitable as a jumper because the back skirt is open in pinafore style. For sizing, see our Ladies Dress Size Chart.

Girls & Ladies Full Slip

A full slip with an unlined bodice in a slip-over-the-head design with no buttons or zipper. Skirt comes a couple inches shorter than our girls dresses. Choose from white or natural 100% cotton muslin or white 100% cotton flannel. For sizing, see our Ladies Dress Size Chart.

Pantaloons These practical bloomers have an elastic waistband and an elastic drawn ruffle around the bottom of the leg. They may be used to give additional warmth, or to add modesty for girls when running and playing. Pantalettes These pantalettes are made just like our pantaloons, above, but with no elastic at the leg. Very comfortable especially in the Summer when it is a little warmer out. Our petticoats are made a couple inches shorter than our girls and ladies skirts. These are sized with a fuller skirt and come with an elastic waist and eyelet lace around the bottom. These half-slips are made 2" shorter than our girls and ladies skirts and come with a narrow elastic waist band and a flared skirt. These slips are a little slimmer then our full petticoats, above.
